چکیده

An innovative “domino” process, based on an arene hydrogenation followed by a photocatalytic step, was designed for the remediation of endocrine disrupting compounds, in highly concentrated aqueous effluents. The novelty relies use TiO2-supported zerovalent Rh nanoparticles as multicatalytic materials (MCMs) this two-step treatment, applied diethyl phthalate, which is model aromatic pollutant frequently present aquatic environments. This nanocomposite advanced material, easily prepared green, wet impregnation methodology, proved to be active successive reactions, reduction ring, and photodegradation step. sustainable approach offers promising alternatives case photoresistive compounds.

Diethyl Phthalate Causes Oxidative Stress: An in Vitro Study

Background: Phthalates are a group of multifunctional chemicals. Diethyl phthalate (DEP) is one of the most frequently used phthalates in solvents and fixatives for numerous industrial products. Method: The present experiment was designed to assess oxidative stress, if any, caused by diethyl phthalate. For this the homogenates of liver and kidney were treated with different concentrations ( 1...

Defective TiO2-supported Cu nanoparticles as efficient and stable electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction in alkaline media.

Nanocomposites based on TiO2-supported copper nanoparticles were prepared by a hydrothermal method where copper nanoparticles with or without the passivation of 1-decyne were chemically grown onto TiO2 nanocolloid surfaces (and hence denoted as CuHC10/TiO2 and Cu/TiO2, respectively). Transmission electron microscopy measurements showed that the size of the hybrid nanoparticles was 5-15 nm in di...

Plasmon-induced photoelectrochemistry at metal nanoparticles supported on nanoporous TiO2.

Nanoporous TiO(2) films loaded with gold and silver nanoparticles exhibit negative potential changes and anodic currents in response to visible light irradiation, so that the films would potentially be applicable to inexpensive photovoltaic cells, photocatalysts and simple plasmon sensors.

Plasmon enhanced visible light photocatalysis for TiO2 supported Pd nanoparticles.

A photocatalyst consisting of nanostructured Pd photochemically deposited on 20 nm TiO2 displays a reaction half-life for rhodamine b decolourisation of 0.5 minute compared to the 9.4 minutes for unmodified P25 under identical reaction conditions. We associate this increased decolourisation rate to the increase in solar light harvesting which we have measured at 8% due to a significant red shif...
